127. "You didn't tell me
you had a prescription."

jewishsightseeing.com,  July 20, 2006

As retold by Bruce Lowitt

Edna Feldman goes into the drugstore, walks up to Schwartz the pharmacist and says, "I would like to buy some cyanide."

"Why in the world do you need cyanide?"

"To poison my husband."

Schwartz almost shouts, "Are you out of your mind? That's against the law! I'll lose my license! They'll throw both of us in jail! Forget it! No cyanide!"

Mrs. Feldman reaches into her purse and pulls out a photo of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife.

"Oh, that's different," Schwartz says. "You didn't tell me you had a prescription."
