Zuckerman later told HERITAGE that the Land Redemption Fund is purchasing land in unsettled areas from Arab owners and reselling it to Jewish settlers at a price of  $15,000 per dunam.  A dunam is approximately one fourth of an acre.

"This is land that was legally bought," Zuckerman said.  "Land on the other side of the Green Line would cost 5 to 10 times as much," he added.

The Conservative rabbi said he has no personal financial interest in the Land Redemption Fund, but "I am a Zionist, and how can you be a Zionist and not be supportive of building the land of Israel?"
