Letter to the Editor
New attorney means new,
deserved hope for Pollard

Editor, jewishsightseeing.com

For over 20 years a man has been in solitary confinement ( and tortured)  in U.S. prisons. His crime? He provided information to the State of Israel designed to save lives from Arab enemies. Information, arguably that the U.S.. as Israel's friend, should have provided. He was convicted after the U.S. violated a deal made with  Israel to obtain his conviction. This violation was pushed by Caspar Weinberger.

Pollard committed a crime. He long ago paid his dues, and has been thrown under the bus by American Jewry and Israel alike. He recently changed attorneys, and has hired Nitsana Darshan Leitner, one of my personal heroes. Nitsana has a great moral compass. Nitsana's primary
mission in life (besides having five children, including triplets) is to sue terrorist organizations to break them financially. Taking Pollard's case though a challenge, simply is the right thing to do.

There are grass roots protests starting in Israel this week. Please visit the website www.jonathanpollard.org. In my opinion, this man is a hero of the Jewish people, and he deserves to be repatriated to Israel. Please visit the site. Jonathan is a broken man in prison. He deserves justice. What can you do? Visit the site, read about the case. Write to your
politician. This may be Jonathan's last chance.

Thank you for your consideration. Maybe we can all help get the U.S. pointed back in the right direction.
